There are only a few days left until Christmas, which is mind-blowing. The older I get, the faster each year goes. This year, I worked on getting my gifts done early, and it really helped with not feeling quite as stressed leading up to the holidays. Hurray for that win! At the same time, I’m always amazed at how many little to do’s pop up around the Christmas season. It truly can feel overwhelming. If that’s where you’re at right now, hang in there! I try to remind myself that so much of the pressure is something I’m putting on myself versus a requirement from someone else. And that it will all work out. Plus, most people won’t even realize what I didn’t get done. 🙂
I always do an online Christmas card because my organizational skills are lacking when it comes to mailing one. So here we go with updates from 2025 (and a little snippet of the end of 2024)!
Last Christmas, we went to Grand Cayman (a bucket list trip!)
We rescued a jelly fish stuck on the beach and swam in the most beautiful water and enjoyed time as a family. Alas, there is nothing tropical scheduled in our future, and reminiscing over these pics is making me want to pop into vacation planning mode.
Per the usual, we watched a lot of favorite son playing high school basketball – which we absolutely love – and a lot of the Denver Nuggets playing basketball. 🙂
The Summer of Keeping Secrets was spotted on a girls’ trip with my sister and friends. And I spent time plotting another book set in snowy Breckenridge, Colorado.
We participated a “bike through Garden of the Gods” event. Super fun! Also got in some hiking.
We found a new hike in Palmer Park that we love that has amazing views and we managed to catch a glimpse of Great Sand Dunes National Park on the way to a basketball game.
A definite highlight of our year was seeing the Backstreet Boys at the Las Vegas Sphere. So. much. fun!
We celebrated the release of Things We Keep Hidden, and I started leaving books in public places for new readers to find.
Most of all, we got to spend time together with friends and family. My favorite gift!
That wraps up the updates from our year! Thank you for being here. I pray that you and your people enjoy a restful, peaceful holiday season.
